SCRIVANICH John, on May 28, 2008, of Emerson, N.J. formerly of Cliffside Park, age 59. John was born on February 10, 1949 in Susak, Croatia. He came to the U.S. in 1965. He was a laborer in the lighting business. John was also a member of Susak Klapa Fairview, N.J. Dear brother of Maria Busanic and her husband Nick and Romeo and his wife Gloria. Beloved uncle of Nicole, Danielle, Denise, Marty, Johnny and Eric. Loving nephew of Antonia Picinic, Maria Matesic, Katerina Tarabocchia and Maria Mircovich. John is also survived by many loving cousins and friends Funeral from the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, N.J. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 9:30am thence to Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Fairview where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum Fairview. The family will receive their friends Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm.

Mirkovich, Antonio 'Burelo' [1917-2008]

Antonio "Burelo" Mirkovich, 90, died on Thursday February 7, 2008.  

Viewing will be held at Konopka Funeral Home (9046 Palisade Avenue) in North
Bergen on Saturday (7:00PM-9:00PM) and Sunday (2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM).    

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace in Fairview, NJ on  Monday Feb. 11, 2008 at 10:00AM.

Born in Susak, Croatia (Austria at that time) on July 20, 1917, he emigrated
to Hoboken NJ in 1972.

Antonio was first employed as pipefitter in Hoboken, then worked for Hoboken
Municipality as a maintenance employee for the Mayor and Council.  He
was a member of Susak Klapa S&A Society, Inc. since 1981, was the
oldest member and one of the first members of the society, where he
enjoyed meeting old time friends and played cards.

Surviving are his wife, Nikolina, five sons, Domenick, Anton, Zlatko, John and
Fabio, and daughter-in-laws Natalizia, Antonia, Maria and Dina, 11
grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.  Also, surviving are his
brother Domenick and sister Domenica;  deceased brothers are Nicolo,
Giovanni and sister Andriana.
